Six Nations Launch International Russian Language Organization

(MENAFN) An inaugural ministerial conference for the International Organization for the Russian Language took place in Moscow on Wednesday, according to reports.

The organization was created under a treaty signed by the leaders of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, officials stated.

The conference was officially opened by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, while President Vladimir Putin sent a message to attendees. Participants included senior officials from educational and foreign policy bodies representing the member states.

Key documents allowing the organization to begin operations and establish its secretariat were signed during the event, and both the secretary general and their deputy were elected.
